Colonialism took away more than just our resources, it also severed the link to our past and our heritage. This film: reminds us that we are the only ones who care about our stories…
Impact
This film challenges British accounts and centres the Kenyan perspective. The film features those who actually fought for independence and examines what colonialism entailed for ordinary Kenyans. We will use this film to help the audience connect the historical context and present-day issues, emphasising that colonialism is not a closed chapter of the past; rather it is alive today in its profound impacts.
